Finding your ESPN cookies

Private ESPN leagues require two values from your browser — espn_s2 and SWID — so we can read your league on your behalf. This takes about a minute. (Public leagues don’t need this.)

Step 1 — Log in to ESPN
Open ESPN Fantasy and make sure you’re signed in to the account that can see your league.
Step 2 — Open the cookie inspector
We picked the guide for your browser automatically — switch tabs if you’re using a different one.
  1. Right-click anywhere on the page and choose “Inspect”, or press ⌥⌘I (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows).
  2. In the panel that opens, click the “Application” tab (you may need the » overflow menu to find it).
  3. In the left sidebar, expand “Cookies” and click “https://fantasy.espn.com”.
Step 3 — Copy the two values
The cookie list has a filter/search box — type a name to find each one quickly, then copy the value from the “Value” column.
espn_s2

A long string that starts with something like AEB… and contains % characters. Copy the whole thing.

SWID

A short ID wrapped in braces, like {1A2B3C…-…}. Include the braces — we’ll add them for you if you forget.

Paste both back into the league setup form, then finish creating your league.

Good to know

  • These cookies typically last most of a season. Logging in on your phone or another browser won’t break them.
  • Changing your ESPN password will invalidate them — you’d just paste fresh ones.
  • We store these to read your league only. Treat them like a password and don’t share them elsewhere.
